Reloading is a serious hobby. Care must be taken to avoid over charges of powder, mixing powder etc... Leading of revolver barrels can also cause over pressure situations. Sad that a man had to lose his life.

That must have been old hell of a boom. Will be interesting to hear any further details as to what happened.

If your gun comes apart because you tried firing a double or triple charge cartridge in it, that's not a "gun malfunction", any more than plowing your car into a tree at 120 MPH is a "vehicle malfunction".

AND in typical media fashion they call this a shooting. WTF
We the people love our country so let the government fear us.

Re: 😔 Fatal injury after gun malfunction in Lackawanna County
Nope. I have a BFR in 30-30, 45/70, and 450 Marlin (ie 45/70 magnum).
Lots of demand, new reloaders and poor quality control from new reloaders and manufactures alike currently. I've never seen so many rejects in new ammo than I have in the last year. Quality control even in new ammo is in the crapper. Let alone newbie reloaders.www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.

RIP ! This is why I have never trusted any re-loads even factory ammo can cause issues my wife experienced rem 38spl squib load about 10 years ago ,had she not been instructed and trained by me her next round would have been disastrous ! My personal experience having ben given 357 mag reload in the 1980s had it not been for the strenght of my S7w 686 6 inch revolver the next round surley would have blown up on me .It scared the living daylights out of shooters at the bench when this huge fireball went off. No damage to revolver but had to send it off to S&W for structural examineanion and repair !
