    Default Milling/Machining Help

    Hey All,

I have been chewing on whether to post this, but hell with it, no harm in asking I suppose. I was hoping there may be someone in the Chesco, Delco or Lancaster counties that would be willing to open up their mill or personal machines for a few hours. I have one or two projects to do but I don't have access to a mill or shop (figured I'd put this out there before dropping cash on some new equipment). I am technically capable and comfortable with tools (Commercial/ residential HVAC guy). I would likely need a quick lesson with the mill before starting and maybe pointers along the way on what to do and not to do (as I do it).

I'd be happy to make some new friends if someone is out there. If not, oh well. Have a great day and weekend all!

Lol, nothing to see here. Just need to get around to milling out an anchor so I can stop confusing other items I have with anchors.

Interesting... What's the design. I would weld an anchor before I'd mill it assuming it's a boat anchor.

A builders co-op or makers space might have what you need. I would do the work for someone before I let them on my machines. Most places are probably like that.

Sorry, poor attempt at humor on my part. And I totally understand that sediment with not letting a stranger on a Bridgeport etc. This project unfortunately would require me to do the actual
    Milling though.
