    I don't remember the ICC regs, but I know it's never been in the FMCSA. That's something I might have to look into sometime, even though it's not pertinent anymore. Might be where the myth comes from.

    There are none, believe me on this. I used to teach the regs and every class I would get that question so I've looked it up extensively and there are no regulations pertaining specifically to commercial vehicles and firearms.
    Actually there are court cases that show commercial vehicles with sleepers may be more protected as far as having firearms, by having the "personal living quarters" right behind the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

    Not that I know of. I haven't been in the industry for a few years but the trend had been that the DOT stays out from behind the curtain.

    There are regs about loose or unsecured items, maybe that's where that came from.
