This is a shot of 3 of those buck from camera # 2

I like this time of year just to watch these deer. I've never seen a monster buck back here ever but the last 4 years I shot an 8, a 9, that nontypical 14 and last years 8 so I have a decent run going. The spreads on those racks were 16 to 17 inches and are the 4 best deer I,ve gotten o all in all, I'm a pretty happy old guy.

I have been extremely lucky behind my house over the last 4 years.

    2021-05-03_07-34-56 by poofy27, on Flickr

Of these 4, only one was not on any of the trail cams I had out. The 9 point.
I'm not a big trophy hunter but i did pass on 2 smaller 8 points a couple years. In years gone by, if it was legal, I shot it.

All 4 were taken with a Ten Point Wicked Ridge Stealth FX4 at 12, 15, 20 yds.

I'll start checking my cams weekly now to see how many deer are around.
The problem is, come hunting season, they crawl in a hole or just don't come around much.

This is the bottom 8 of those 3.

I went down to check my cams after a great Father's Day dinner.

I saw this youngster, sat down, talked a few minutes and asked him if he'd mind if I checked another camera while he was engrossed with the salt block.
He didn't mind but was hesitant fir me to back down and get a puc of both if us just hanging out.

I told him I believed he had a pass this year
    We parted as friends.
That's my leg checking this camera.
