Got a few guys hanging out.
Nothing huge yet but still growing.
The depression in the ground is a base dug out for a swimming pool ( second house owner and 40 years ago)

These 5 are running together behind my house

Last year I shot a nice 8 point behind my house in archery.
It only ran about 40 yds or a bit more but slid another 50 down a steep hill to a creek..
I wasn't getting that thing up that hill so drug it to a spot with about a 4 or 5 foot embankment.

Old and weak took over. I may have been able to muscle that thing up but opted for a friend's help.
I called, he came and we got him into his truck bed.
It's getting harder even at the tender age of 71.

I have some tube steel and was going to fab a trailer hitch swiveling crane. While looking online for ideas, I came across one for 129 or 139 with free shipping and bought it.
400 lb capacity. I'll probly never need it again.

I walked to my truck and had a flashlite on me.

One deer bedded and one looking at me like WTF, this is our time.

I'll check tomorrow as to what they are. One cam is dead batteries but I just got some more.

Quite a few other smaller deer as well.

No big bodied deer around and hasn't been for years but there are quite a few

It's always fun pulling SD cards from cams. I enjoy it almost as much as hunting.

That's a great way to spread CWD.

    Yes it is.
At some point, the PGC will disallow salt, mineral blocks and any type of feeding devices.
Another state has just outlawed the use of trail cameras feeling its giving the Hunter an unfair advantage to know where the deer run.

As far as spreading CWD given my trail camera pics, the EA ( established area) for CWD is 120 miles to the east of me.
The CWD disease management area is 53 miles east of me.

We have yet to see any evidence of CWD in the areas I hunt

I remove my salt block more than 30 days prior to 2B early aechery. I also noted that all residue must also be removed.
That would be the support for the block and perhaps some dirt around its location.

My own opinion is that CWD would spread thru sparring, running together in a herd before they go their separate ways and generally being in close proximity to other deer as well as licking the same salt block.

If the PGC outlaws anything that's currently legal, I'll abide by those changes.

If I can even hunt for the next 10 years, I'd be thankful for the ability to do so.

Right now, I just like seeing and sharing pics.

Unfortunately, I have houses behind my deer.
