NFA Engraving ?
Who in the Lehigh Valley or the Slate Belt does it?
I have a pistol that has a faint but clear serial number on the palm part of the frame. Wanted to get it Ceracoated but was told the prep would take out part of the numbers. I need some one to trace over it and cut it Deeper. Anyone know of anybody?

Re: NFA Engraving ?
Gunsmiths who have a manufacturers license can do it.

OP, I don't know specifically what you need, if a laser job will accomplish it, or if Pottstown is too far for you but there have been a lot of happy customers on this forum praising
Laserworx in Pottstown. I personally haven't had the pleasure(a bit too far for me).

Re: NFA Engraving ?
Be careful. With the usual IANAL disclaimer, it is my understanding that reworking a faint, shallow serial number is still considered to be "altering" it within the purview of the law and, as such, is both a state and federal offense. I believe this is why Abner13 suggested a gunsmith who has a manufacturer FFL.
Call the nearest BATFE office and ask before you take your firearm to the nearest trophy shop that has a laser engraver and turn them loose on it.

Re: NFA Engraving ?
If you are trying to have it refinished the .003 that the average shop does isn't deep enough. You really want a shop that can engrave to depth of about .006 to .008 range.
