In the end it doesn*t matter. There are simply too many guns in our hands which they can*t do anything about. And if they keep pushing, they are going to find the measure of some of our resolve.

Isn't this the same court that punted on the stolen election because they were afraid of civil unrest?

The National Socialist will threaten the same thing with this case so don't expect a favorable outcome, at all. It will be 6-3 and just like that the Constitutionally Protected Reset Button will be stripped away.

I believe that we'll have to take to the streets to force their hand and if we don't, we'll be taking to the streets to, well you know.

Could it go against us? Of course. That's not a reason to avoid legit 2nd cases though. I feel better about this than if Hilary had appointed the last 3 justices.
Despite my valid reasons for doom and gloom lately, I tend to agree with this.

Worst case, SCOTUS declines to give us ammunition in our battle against blue states.

Best case, NY, NJ, HI, MA, and MD will have bit less boldness in denying permits. I count that as a win, in the sense we're better off than we were yesterday.

That said, I think the likely outcome is for them to issue a very narrow ruling.

I've never seen anybody argue convincingly that the majority of law-abiding citizens who needed a gun to defend themselves, would have been able to prove ahead of time that they faced special risks not shared by the general public.

Sure, a lot of the people gunned down are in the drug trade. But those folks aren't asking for licenses to carry concealed weapons.

The truth is that anyone can be a victim of violent crime, any day, any time, anywhere. At a concert, at work, at home, in their cars, while shopping, while on an airplane. And ESPECIALLY in a "gun-free zone".

This kind of test should fail even "rational basis" test, certainly the "intermediate scrutiny", and unquestionably fail "strict scrutiny".

Allow the law-abiding the maximum freedom, and crack down on criminal misuse of guns. But that's not the real agenda of the woke folk, who demand bans on guns for the law-abiding while waiving sentencing enhancements for actual criminals who use gun in actual crimes.

I believe that K-12 schools should take an hour every year to explain the rules on using force, and deadly force, to all students. That eliminates the "training & education" requirement/speed bump. It's absurd to take 12 years of "education" and shove kids out into the real world without basic knowledge like that, especially when the punishment for ignorance can be life in prison, or death in the streets.

Streaker's recent thread about the kidnapping of a Plain child is a perfect example of this.

No, that's ridiculous. That would leave too little time to go over important subjects such as where to find abortion clinics, where and how to find drugs, and how all white people are racist. We are the AFT and we will fight you to the death on this!

In this day and age expect for this 2nd amendment case to be a 5-4 loss for 2nd amendment. Roberts will cuck up and screw Americans again like he has already done so far. Roberts is there to protect the interests of the deep state. Face it folks if we are to remain free will will have to at some point put down the deep state.

Also Roberts has made it his job to protect the Judicial Branch against charges of politicization. That's why he can never forgive Trump for exposing the truth and why for the most part he's going to continue to park his votes with the liberal minority, and vote to maintain the status quo whenever possible. He will allow few if any important 6-3 decisions to break along political lines. I suspect he feels that 5-4 decisions help preserve the integrity of the court in his mind since the media will continue to portray him as a conservative who is "doing the right thing". He wants to be the new Justice Kennedy and get all of the accolades. Also, in my opinion, one cannot completely discount the rumors that Roberts is compromised and threatened in a personal way by some nefarious deep state entities who have something on him.

Hopefully they take a look at the Maryland case in which Judge Legg said,

"A citizen may not be required to offer a 'good and substantial reason' why he should be permitted to exercise his rights," Legg wrote. "The right's existence is all the reason he needs."

Roberts will go along with the leftists. One more turncoat from the so called conservative faction, gun owners will be thrown backwards for the foreseeable future.
