I think it’s laughable that people think that Pittsburgh is some kind of hotbed of urban hazard. My wife and I moved here from Baltimore just about a year ago. If you want to see some shit go down to North Avenue, Gilmor homes, Monroe or Fulton, or anywhere west of the MLK.
Take the average Pittsburgh murder rate and just multiply it times 10 and there you go.
    Now Philadelphia; that’s something else…

No matter what city you are in, nothing good ever happens on MLK Boulevard.

That old saying about how PA is Philly on one side, Pittsburgh on the other side, and Alabama in the middle.
Is what has mostly been saving PA; so far.

NYC's population out numbers the rest of NY state.
NYC's libtard mentality is not only from your basic anti-gun city dwellers.
It's also that most of the population is immigrants from socialist countries; bringing their socialistic, anti-gun mentality with them.

And NJ is mostly just extensions, suburbs, of NYC and Philly.
AND most of those NJ suburbs of NYC and Philly are mostly populated by NYC and Philly transplants.
Who are perhaps 99.9999% anti-gun libtards.

    That helps too.

In the case of NYC it was the corrupt boss tweed Tammany hall administration back in early 1900's. The mayor was running a corrupt city including police. He used them and two gangs to collect protection money, extortion and pay offs, the business people were shooting all three groups and keeping them in check. He had a state senator called Sullivan in his pocket who he got to write the law and get it passed through a corrupt governor. My grandfather was NYC cop from the 20's till he retired in the 50's. Both NYC and State were run by democrats.
As for NJ the CCW was put in the hands of county judges, to get a permit you needed to get if from the court and the court will not issue one unless you are politically connected and judges bosses tell them to.

I lived 30 years in NJ---Part of it is culture. Even "Republicans" could not grasp that in PA you don't need a FID card to get ammo or a gun. I would tell them only a few states require a FID card. They are blown away that 46 states don't require one and then follow up the unbelief with "then how do you buy a gun"? Yes, it's that bad!!!----Kind of how they believe that every state has people that pump your gas.
Another item is there's nothing in their Constitution and wrap that up with a huge D-party controlling everything which once again, tells you what kind of people are in that state. BTW, I only ran across 1-pro gun Dem rep while in NJ, most of the R's are pro-gun but not the way they are here in PA.

NY is worse. They make you carry a card listing the model and info about of EVERY FIREARM you own. I was talking to a retired NY cop years ago and he showed me his cards. I saw cards because he had more guns than fit on one card, so they print a second card to continue the list, that you have to carry with you. It's stupid.
