    CHAPTER 61
    FIREARMS AND OTHER DANGEROUS ARTICLES

    Subchapter
    A. Uniform Firearms Act
    B. Firearms Generally
    C. Other Dangerous Articles
    D. Straw Purchase Prevention Education Program

Enactment. Chapter 61 was added December 6, 1972, P.L.1482, No.334, effective in six months.
Anyway, Article I, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania State Constitution states: "The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned."

Better written that the 2nd Amendment.

    You forgot to add:
Some of us will put down anyone who tries to invoke NJ/NY regulations here. Oops - did I think that out loud? Not sorry.

NYC's population out numbers the rest of NY state.
NYC's libtard mentality is not only from your basic anti-gun city dwellers.
It's also that most of the population is immigrants from socialist countries; bringing their socialistic, anti-gun mentality with them.

And NJ is mostly just extensions, suburbs, of NYC and Philly.
AND most of those NJ suburbs of NYC and Philly are mostly populated by NYC and Philly transplants.
Who are perhaps 99.9999% anti-gun libtards.
The problem is the "Alabama in the middle" is shrinking big time. Chester County used to be SOLID Red. Now it is Blue, lost just about every race in the last couple elections. Commissioners, Sheriff, local reps, frigging dogcatcher. And it is because the Philly and Delco idiots are moving out to the rural burbs because the Democrats screwed up their towns. Those morons vote the same way out here.

The left has a plan to turn red states purple, and purple states blue. The right has no plan to counter it. It seems the right also has no clue, or politicians on the right are in on the game.

Don't lump Pittsburgh in with Erie County, Crawford County, Warren County or any other western county.

Seems it's only gone downhill since.
Yeah 8 million llive in NYC BUT the heavily Democrat NYC Metro area has a population of 12 million and includes Rockland, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties. That leaves 7 million for the rest of NYS. In a nutshell, that is why I left NYS!

The ONLY thing saving our butts is maintaining a Republican majority in the General Assembly! Start working on getting conservative judges on PA Supreme Court or their next gerrymandering attempt will change that!

Hey now, easy there, Cowboy. Much of DELCO was red until very recently when Philly got so bad with the douchocrats people moved to DELCO and brought their idiot voting with them. We had majority R county council, DA, US rep, etc., until one or two election cycles ago. If anyone pushed out from DELCO to CHESCO to escape, chances are they're R's.

We don't have stupid restrictions on carry like "no churches" or "no concerts" like other states because the basic carry law is so old.
I'm not sure about that. NY's Sullivan Act - the primary source of the bulk of NY's gun laws - was passed in 1911. It allows for concealed carry and provided state preemption.

The population distribution is the most likely reason, IMO. PA has one city with over 1m people. NY has one city with half of the state's population.
