There is an unprecedented assault on our rights in this country and while I also like to debate lots of different topics...I agree that we need to focus on the big picture and remain united.

I think having an aggressive, 0-100 mph at an instant attitude will help carry you in a fight more than a specific firearm or caliber.

I say carry and use what you feel is best for YOUR situation and support each other in defense of all of our rights. I have never argued anyone into agreeing with me and I really think it's counterproductive.

Here endeth the sermon for the day.

i also read a great follow up article by ellifritz (the data i discussed early on); he goes on to cite some important things for consideration like civilian vs duty and why that matters...
check it out here : https://www.activeresponsetraining.n...r-self-defense

also found this article which is interesting, claiming caliber does not matter (but the org publishing it also appears to profit based on what does matter):
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.usc...ot-matter/amp/

i was hoping for more first hand accounts, data, articles like those above etc so the thread could be here for reference.

im after the lightest/ smallest/ most efficient pkg - think i found it with my new taurus 856 9mm conversion... 16oz unloaded, 6rds of 9mm, moonclips so fast reloads, hammerless (no snag); need to run it more to ensure reliability.. today had 4 light strikes out of 80rds (hoping it was the ammo, didnt fire 2nd time either).

    i still feel comfortable w my lcp2 22lr & p17 for 22lr; and my black widow & 351c/942 for 22mag.
    Bugout,

I will check out those articles. My examples are first hand accounts, but, specifics cannot be released.

And, for what it's worth, when I go hunting, I carry a Kel Tec P17 as my sidearm. Of course I also have a long gun or bow with me....

    ^^^^^Wise words...

I would rather face a soy-boy with a bazooka, than a gritty man with an NAA .22mag.

I see no point to this thing. #4 buckshot has more projectiles, and does more damage out of a regular 12GA shotgun. No tax stamp needed.

I had something funny typed up, but the "22 for defense" fans would surely not appreciate the humor, so...
