This is a poor argument. By way of an absurd argument, she should shoot a 460 s&w or 500 s&w well. They are revolvers.

I have 2 revolvers. Both are L frames with substantial weight. I took my dad shooting many years ago. 6" barrel. 38 special. The arthritis in his hands made it difficult for him. He liked my Ruger mark iii though (probably because he didn't have to clean it).

Arthritis and other disorders are very real and the age old "wisdom" of just use a revolver isn't applicable.

I'll conclude with a brief story about why i no longer have a 22 caliber revolver. I bought a s&w 617 brand new a while back. After you'd put 50 or so rounds through it, the cylinder would bind on the forcing cone. This got old incredibly quick. I sold it with the only regret being buying it in the first place.
