Re: May 18 Election - Ballot Questions
If the amendments pass when do they go into effect?

Re: May 18 Election - Ballot Questions
My gut instinct was that if the people demanding open borders and the abolition of ICE are proposing an apparently pointless protection based on "race or ethnicity", then we should be against it.
The wording appears to cover "persons" or "residents", not "citizens". Do we WANT equal treatment for illegal aliens? No, we want to be able to deport them, which is something we can't do to citizens. We don't want them eligible for Welfare or Unemployment Benefits or Social Security, unlike legal citizens.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Re: May 18 Election - Ballot Questions
For the Phila voters what about Question #5?
Philly voters will also see a proposed charter amendment to expand the Board of License Inspection Review, which hears appeals concerning licenses to carry firearms, property violation decisions, and decisions from some other Philly agencies. The board currently has a large backlog and the expansion aims to address this by adding more members.
Sounds like this needs a "yes", but I'm not sure.Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges

Re: May 18 Election - Ballot Questions
Our local GOP dropped off sample ballets with #3 marked *yes*. I called and spoke to the local committee person and he opinion was the wording was a catch22 for them. If they officially say *no* it basically appears they are racists or whatever people want to call them.
Total shitshow.
Vote *no* on 3

Re: May 18 Election - Ballot Questions
Definitely 'NO" on #3. You have to remember that Dems ALWAYS word their bad intentions with the most positive of words and bill names that are pretty much the exact opposite of what it really does. Voting Rights...Gun Safety...Women's Healthcare...
Anyways, the York County GOP just sent me this email and I suspect they're just trying to keep it simple and make sure people vote YES on the most important questions, #1 and #2...but I disagree:
