Doubling each of the dimensions on a 3D object would require 8 times the material. But you already know that.
Plus we COULD use a cannon for deer hunting. With a canister round...

I believe if you use a canister round you might be outside the law. I was asked by an buddy who was studying for his wco to ask him random questions as a study aid.
I asked him why I couldn*t hunt with a claymore, assuming I legally possessed the paperwork for a destructive device.
Took him a while, but he came back and said no, as it would be considered a shotgun of greater then 2 gauge. Now. I can*t say he was right, but I do know he spent a lot of time researching it."Cives Arma Ferant"
