Fucking Youtube deleted it a few years ago when they were on one of their anti-gun kicks.
That video was pure gold for a novice to learn from.

If that was the Build/Explore/Learn video I have a copy I downloaded on my computer. I can email a copy if someone wants it...
I just watched it and it does not use the pliers, just the usual punch.

Yeah. We don't NEED no STEENKING punches!

I have a link to it in one of my build threads. When you click, it goes to Youtube - "Content removed".

I*ve assembled quite a bit myself. My techniques have evolved over the years and my collection of tools has grown. Chad from School of The American Rifle has helped me refine how I assemble or what I use to do the work.

I*ve been putting off the next few projects for a while now and didn*t want to make a range trip until some of them were ready. After baby #2 arrives in July, I won*t be doing squat for a while, so I really need to get on that.

Well, it's all done! Usps was holding packages instead of delivering them. Seriously, 2 of the packages would have easily fit in my mailbox at the same time! But that's another thread. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. It's a PSA 11.5inch upper with 13inch lightweight mlok handguard and a 3inch blast device thing on the muzzle. I'm not sure what you'd call it. It's a cylinder, just small enough to fit in the handguard that tapers from the .223 hole out to about an inch dia over 2.5inches Anyway, built on an Aero Precision gen 2 lower, Luth AR parts kit, Magpul miad grip, Sba3 brace, Brownells mil spec bolt, and some nickel boron coated charge handle I picked up somewhere. Topped it off with a Holosun 510c and mbus folding sight kit. So excited to try it out. Probably 3 hrs at most to assemble. F.U A.J.!

electrical tape.. cover the part of the lower that you hit/ remove when done

Cover the receiver with tape as stated above.

Or, buy an Aero M4E1 lower, and use the Allen screw instead of a roll pin.
I've tried punches & done the tape thing. I even used Plasti Dip on one build... Still busted thru it & marked up the lower. Also ruined a nylon jawed parallel plier while still making a mark on the lower.

It's just something I'm not adept at. Sharpie has become invaluable.
