Default Concealed Carry in Philadelphia question

Hey folks, Had my carry permit many moons ago and let it run out when I started driving over the road. I recently re-applied (and was approved) for my permit again and have a question about carrying...
Being a big guy I am using an IWB kydex holster at about 4 o'clock position (most comfortable for me) but was looking for any info about carrying during the summer months when I'm not wearing heavy or bulky clothes. I know it is much quicker to draw & safer to carry on body but is it legal to use a fanny-pack or shoulder bag (both specifically designed for concealed carry)???
    Thanks!

To answer your direct question, yes, it is legal to carry in a fanny pack or shoulder bag. Many people, especially women, carry in purses (hopefully designed for carry). Another option is to carry outside the waistband, with an untucked shirt to conceal. This is typically how I carry if I want to conceal. An A type t-shirt under a short-sleeved buttoned shirt, untucked. Just practice drawing from such a setup. Not sure what size gun you are carrying, but I carry a full size CZ75 in a High Noon Sky-High holster, which rides high on my waist, and the bottom does not poke out even from under an untucked T-shirt. Option three is open-carry, but there are plenty of threads here discussing that.

Pretty sure it's required that if you're going to carry in a fanny pack you must also wear socks with sandals.

I have a fanny pack I bought eons ago when I bought the G19.
I wore it once walking the dog around the block and it's been on a shelf in the closet ever since.
Sucks because it's a really nice, leather one, and it's purpose built for carry - opens right up to present the gun quickly.
Maybe they will come back into style again one day? LOL

And yeah, so long as you have your LTCF, fanny packs, purses, and man-bags are OK.

I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

"Allowed" by his employer or "allowed" by law? The former is none of our business, and the answer to the latter is "yes". There is no law, state or federal, that prohibits carry in a "commercial vehicle."

Most people will tell you "store gun and ammo separately, both in locked containers." That IS a good idea, but federal law only requires that one OR the other be locked up (emphasis below added by me):

    https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/926A
in the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver*s compartment the firearm or ammunition shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console.
