Is it time to review and/or revise some forum rules?

Without getting critical and causing resentment from the staff, I'll just point out a very simple rule that is ignored routinely by all involved - members and staff alike.

Profanity

In Thread Title (5 points, Expires in 1 month)
Please do not use profanity or masked profanity in thread titles.


Taking special note of the "masked profanity" portion... I don't care one way or the other, but if it's one of those things like pot smoking, where "everyone does it, so let's make it legal", why not revise, or eliminate the rule?
Enforce the rule, or change it if things have "evolved" to the point where it's not considered offensive.

I see/saw a lot of profanity/masked in thread titles, and no infractions (except mine).
Someone said as long as it was in the lounge it was ok.
Mine was in the lounge.
