I charge a days wages for those types of jobs any more. between picking up the materials you need and getting it done...figure a day. Don't kill yourself over these jobs...its not worth it.

I was on a estimate yesterday and the lady said her fireplace is leaking. Long story short,
its the flashing, not the masonry. She had the roof done by a local contractor, all his employees
    were mexican.
I dont know what these guys AREN'T doing, but I get a lot of calls for this very problem.
It becomes a pissing match between the masons and roofers. It always seems to happen when
a new roof is installed, but its a masonry issue
My thought is the boss isn't teaching them the correct way to flash a house, as in mexico,
they dont have the weather we have here in pa.

Funny you mention that. I got sick and tired of doing just that so I wrote a price list,
down and posted it to my board, no more half day jobs for the price of a half day.
Now I catch myself cutting people breaks because I feel bad for them.
    What a asshole.

Meanwhile, in Canada, Blazer brass 124gr 9mm is .30/round. Canadian. Which is like .24 US.

That is interesting. I did a quick search with other places in Canada and while prices vary it is definitely cheaper than the U.S overall. I guess they are not having the extreme supply/demand issues.

Been watching ammo prices for a long time, realizing they were not really coming down. Luckily, dear wife always tells me when I go out to get more ammo if I see any and if it's at a decent price.

Sadly, however, not seeing much, let alone at reasonable prices. That's okay...I think we are pretty well stocked, considering we don't shoot as much as we used to.

I wouldn*t mind paying previous prices plus the increase - but nobody is selling at that price. The price gouging is unbelievable.

But that pricing shows increases are not at the manufacturer level.

I finally found .223 on a LGS shelf yesterday, 3 boxes left.

Price was $28 for 20 rounds.
