Duke, Neither have I but I'll soon find out because this one's going to the range. I'll Probably put a cylinder of .357 through it and then shoot some .38 Special.

I see a lot of these guns, with the patridge front sight, where someone puts white or red nail polish on the top half to make it easier to see the target, I'll see if that's necessary or not.

Elmer Keith used to have thin gold elevation lines cut into the aft surface for different ranges.

Now that's a man who knew a little something about revolvers and how much power a K frame can withstand.

I hesitated on a 27 with eight and three eights inch barrel with Patridge front sight and missed it. If I recall correctly it was $799 and flawless. This was years ago. I thought I couldn*t get past the gap the shorter cylinder makes in the N frame. Foolish on my part as I missed a great opportunity.

The .357/.41/.44./.45 cal guns use the N-frame.

Owe I know, but his work on the development of the Model 19, K Frame .357, was a thing of legend... I've heard there were a few KB's until him and S&W got it right.

It's a pinned barrel with a recessed cylinder and I love the checkered top strap on these guns.

    This pistol looks pretty nice
