LIGHTWEIGHT Bipod
Looking for a very LIGHTWEIGHT bipod for a hunting rifle.
Other than an old reliable Harris ... anybody have experience/suggestions?

Re: LIGHTWEIGHT Bipod
I have zero experience with bipods.
Magpul has one that weighs around 11 ozs.
Not sure if it would lend itself to hunting rifle use or if it's more of an AR15 bipod.
Random video...
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: LIGHTWEIGHT Bipod
The Magpul or one from UTG would work and they're fairly lightweight. If you don't want to attach it to the rifle, look at the different shooting stiks that you can use as a walking stick and rifle prop/stabilizer.

Re: LIGHTWEIGHT Bipod
Probably the lightest is a polymer that, spring-loaded, clamps to the barrel like forceps. Zero adjustability. I threw them out.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: LIGHTWEIGHT Bipod
I appreciate the replies.
Obviously, I have searched online, but without much luck.
I was hoping someone might have experience with a carbon fiber bipod for a hunting rifle (NOT tactical)?

Re: LIGHTWEIGHT Bipod
Since you said hunting only, I am going to assume that it is not going to get beat to death. Carbon fiber is used in F1, Indy car, and a bunch of other things because of it's light weight and strength. If you fins onew at a good price I can't see why it wouldn't work in you situation. I haven't looked for bipods for a while because a have what I need but if I were going to be humping a hunting rifle for long distances/times then I would seriuosly look at a corbon fiber due to it's light weight and strength. Granted it may not be a strong as say a Harris, but for hunting it should fit the bill.
