Default SCOTUS DENIES REVIEW TO NJ AG IN SAF-DEFENSE DISTRIBUTED CASE

    .

    came in email

BELLEVUE, WA * The U.S. Supreme Court has denied a petition for certiorari from New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal in his effort to escape the jurisdiction of the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the ongoing First Amendment case brought by Defense Distributed and the Second Amendment Foundation.

The Fifth Circuit had ruled unanimously that Grewal, because of his efforts to prevent distribution of materials related to the 3D printing of firearms, was subject to the jurisdiction of the Texas courts. Defense Distributed is headquartered in Texas.

*It*s not every day you beat a state attorney general at the Supreme Court,* observed SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb, *especially when he had been supported by other anti-gun state attorneys general from New York, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, and the District of Columbia. This is a huge victory.*

The Defense Distributed case has always been about the First Amendment, Gottlieb observed. He recalled how Grewal had moved to dismiss the SAF/Defense Distributed lawsuit filed in the Western District of Texas *for lack of personal jurisdiction.* But the Fifth Circuit appellate ruling placed Grewal*s efforts squarely under that circuit*s jurisdiction and the SCOTUS allowed that to stand.

*Anti-gun attorneys general need to be held accountable for threatening gun owners and the firearms industry,* Gottlieb stated, *and that includes efforts to prevent distribution of information relating to 3D printing. Grewal tried to enjoin national distribution of Defense Distributed*s files on the Internet.

*This is one of several cases against the State of New Jersey and Grewal in which SAF is involved,* he continued. *We*re also suing the state, with several other parties, over the state*s capricious carry laws and gun purchase permitting process.*

The next move in the SAF-Defense Distributed case is their injunction request at the Federal District court, where plaintiffs will pursue their injunction request.

I cringed at the mention that Pennsylvania aligned with New Jersey against the 1st Amendment...

I surely hope the citizens of this state wake up to the Totalitarian Attacks on Freedom fostered by our current state government & the Loony Leftists and stop the INSANITY...

Before it's too late to save the state...

I am happy the AG was cock blocked. Don't bet on it- people enjoy sweet, convenient obedience with a collar around their neck than freedom.

Eh, not sure I would put it that way. The end result is the same; people tend to lock themselves into obedience. But I don't think *they* think of it that way- it's more along the lines of them being fearful of thinking. Thinking is work, and it carries some risk to one's ego in that one may realize one is wrong. Rather than subject themselves to this, people enthusiastically accept whatever fear-mongering BS the media and Democrats sell. The "fine print" on that deal, well, we both know where this is going- but most people are super checked-out and think "Well, there are 160-ish million white people in America and all white people are violent Nazis, and gun control would keep them in check because the media said so, therefore gun control is a reasonable compromise that makes my life better. The Democrats said they won't be evil and take advantage of us once we're disarmed, so there's no downside risk to me." Knowing this, the Democrats have become very effective at shifting blame to others when their plans cause exactly the ill effects we here have foretold. For example, Trump said to take COVID-19 seriously, and the Democrats resisted him every step of the way, and later successfully made 99% of Americans believe Trump was the one whose willful inaction caused the pandemic.

So I guess you could say, no one makes a conscious decision to be a sheep, but to most people, the effort and risk of picking apart the Democrats' talking points costs more than simply accepting what's said at face value.

Yep - Much of the citizenry is dumb (like sheep). This is the reason we need to constantly TALK about the Principles upon which America was founded --- Not simply argue about the Leftist Talking Points Of The Day...

The Foundational Principles in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution (includes the Bill of Rights) need to become the foundational principles of our society - Again. Those principles have been under attack by the (mis)education system in this country for more than 50-years. When it started, it was amusing to most people that there were kooky professors saying crazy things. They still sent their kids to those schools. Of course, those paying attention, knew where this kind of stuff leads, but their concerns were ignored and laughed off. This is now entrenched in the (mis)education system which attacks everything good about those principles on a hourly basis, while they have FULL CONTROL of the children.

Our legislators, the few who actually love the founding principles, need to be on the air waves EVERY SINGLE DAY propounding those principles as the underlying reason for resistance against the leftist push happening in this country.

Every citizen should be talking with their neighbors and promoting these underlying principles. Every significant posting you make on the internet should include promotion of these principles. The concepts need to be broadcast constantly and widely in order to counteract the propaganda from the Left.

It's not good enough to just have an election go your way - Look what happened to Trump and what came afterward. It's critical that America-loving citizens find a voice for the Founding Principles so as to CONVERT the minds of those (where possible) to understand why these principles are needed for Freedom to exist.

Some are committed Leftists, Anarchists and Socialists. But there are others (sheep) who have not had a chance to really think about these things - No one (in their sphere) has explained the whys and wherefores upon which Freedom is created. They simply think it exists without effort. We (and those who have died for it) know otherwise.

The only hope for America is for widespread understanding and embracing of the Founding Principles. These principles were active in society at the time, and not simply written in the founding documents as a foreign concept. "We hold these truths to be self-evident" requires an open mind, an exposure to the concepts and the ability to exercise those concepts. That's only going to happen if EVERYONE who loves those principles spreads the word and promotes them.

While the Second Amendment is important to defend, it will only ever be safe when people are convinced that the Founding Principles are important enough to 'Not Be Infringed'.

One more reason we need to take back the schools and the justice system...without them, people grow stupid like vegetables...and act like them too.

Acting on both Posts #7 and #8 will get you red flagged in most parts of the country. The Democratic Communist Party has programed today's youth to despise the Founders, Their Principals and anyone who upholds them.

The Cultural Revolution is all but complete.
