Re: Mossberg Shockwave, What Gauge, Worth Buying?
Let me know if you ever make it up this way. Perhaps we can meet up and you can try my 20 and possibly my neighbor's .410, if he's around.
They're Lesbian, Gay and Bi?
Don't TQ2++ people like them? That's odd. I was lead to believe it was all one demographic.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Re: Mossberg Shockwave, What Gauge, Worth Buying?
I Just ordered a Black Aces Tactical bullpup (pump) for $299 from Palmetto State, the auto is only $50 more... I love my shockwave clone (with minishells and adapter) but this seems like its gonna be cool... will post after I get it.

Re: Mossberg Shockwave, What Gauge, Worth Buying?
I’m familiar with the TAC14, and I *love* it.
Then again to be fair, I’d love any gun that was mine.
My understanding is that the Remington has a smoother action compared to the mossberg, but having not handled a shockwave I can’t comment.
As with any gun you become better with practice- my 110lb wife loves shooting it as well. If you Have a pistol brace, you can wrap your arm over it rather than use it like a stock- is how she prefers.
Now, IANAL but reasons I love the tac14/shockwave “firearms”
-much easier to carry as a truck gun
-can have a 14” barrel.
-can merely buy a 18” barrel if you want to throw a proper stock on it, but couldn’t do the reverse with a “proper” shotgun.
Be wary of folding braces as ATF revised their rules and measure them folded rather than extended, so legally less than 26” folded gives you an AOW. That said a shotgun with an 18” barrel and folding stock I believe measures out to ~30” and gives higher shell count. Very minimal if you already have a shotty or move between states where they’re illegal (shockwaves…) and would want to stay legal at all times in all areas.
Buy whichever caliber you want- chances are if you love it you’re going to buy another anyways- they’ll all kill whatever you’re shooting at.
If you’re not terribly concerned about prices and already have one and want a 410, consider a Henry axe. Chambered in 410 but lever action although it’s going for about $1k
