Re: Was the tip good ?
Yea, I have the Ford TMPS reset tool. The one that comes standard with their commercial vans.
I have two sets of rims; one with all-seasons and the other with snows.
I swap from all-seasons to snow in late Fall. And from the snow tires back to all-seasons in early Spring.
I reset the TMPS when I do the swaps.
2008 2wd Ford Ranger.
Truck currently has snow tires on it. I usually swap from snow to all-season by now.
The snows are on their 4th year. So had not removed them yet. And was considering just keeping them on as long as possible.
Wonder if with the warm weather the snow tire overheated ??
Anyway; I'll simply swap to the all-seasons tires tomorrow.
Drat; asking if he knows about PAFOA never crossed my mind.Last edited by ett; March 21st, 2021 at 09:07 PM. Reason: Oops; forgot to mention why home.

If your also referring to tipping,we have a very favorite waitress at Applebees in Scranton her name is Courtney,we tip her $ 20 for a $30 meal, just because food service in general got hard hit with no money coming in last year .If you can afford it do 30% or more if you can !

Re: Was the tip good ?
So many TPMS systems are crap. They're all monitoring the pressure for each tire, but so many don't bother giving you that information - just an idiot light on or a warning bell... why not expose the useful information???
My 2010 Dodge Ram shows me the pressure for each tire, so there's no guessing. And it triggers a warning if I fall below 27psi or so, well before it's a major problem.

Tow truck drivers and road service guys deserve a tip. When they*re fixing, repairing, or towing your vehicle in the snow, 2 degrees and your sitting in the warm cab of his/her truck let me know if 20 is worth it.
Drivers don*t make the money, the owner of the truck make the money.

Re: Was the tip good ?
I think the $20 was spot on. $10 would be nice too but yeah $20 gets the point across better. When my wife's Jeep unexpectedly had the battery short (my guess) and not even a jump would get it started, called AAA for a battery delivery and the guy was just super nice. Prompt and did a good job. I felt a $20 was correct for that situation too.
These days I think anyone actually putting in a day's work deserves a little extra appreciation...
