    You can do the same thing with the factory boxes, just knock em flat.

    I keep them. I'm becoming a hoarder though when it comes to boxes and packaging material. I do sell stuff though in order to fund other stuff I want.

    Solid plan. I dont have that issue with my wife, but I might have to tell some friends and family about that.

    My wife doesn't give me grief for spending money on guns at all, but what she does do is take it as justification for her spending money on household or decorative items or clothes that she'll be sick of in a year and they'll be worth nothing. At least guns hold most of their value and last forever with minor maintenance. So yeah, the empty case "going to the range" trick works for that too.
