Re: Do you keep or toss your gun boxes
Oh thank goodness I’m not the only one. I do like the part about if it is a plain box toss it. I’ll have to check and see if any are just plain Jane ones. I built a small loft in a corner of my garage for storage so I am thinking of organizing that and moving them out of the basement so I can make some changes to the layout where they reside now. Maybe I’ll keep one or 2 plain ones in case I ever sell and have to ship a long gun.

Re: Do you keep or toss your gun boxes
If they're cardboard I toss them after two or three years. I have too much crap lying around as it is.

Re: Do you keep or toss your gun boxes
I keep boxes for any guns I have that came with boxes, unfortunately the boxes for my most collectable guns are long gone.

Re: Do you keep or toss your gun boxes
For those worried about having a box for shipping stuff...I always keep one or two large appliances boxes around, you can cut them and knock them down flat. With a sharp knife I can cut them to size and make a box of any dimension I want. It might look like hell but I'm not trying to win a Better Homes and Gardens prize with it.

Re: Do you keep or toss your gun boxes
You keep them! The value the boxes and associated paperwork bring to a resale down the line is markedly higher.

Re: Do you keep or toss your gun boxes
I've bought 4 new long guns. Have 1 box, and 3 of the 4 guns. Box I wish I kept was the Norinco. I cut up out parts of the sleeve and just kept that. Everything else was used/surplus.
