Sig also came out yesterday with the P365X. It uses the barrel length of the P365 and the handle of a p365xl.

It's easy for a P365XL owner to buy a P365 grip module. Sig would have been better off offering an optics cut version of the regular P365. For folks with a P365, you can buy the P365X slide from Sig right now for $300. For half that price, though, you can get your slide milled for whatever optic you want.

I'm still looking at getting a P365XL at some point, but I'm really starting to consider getting my P365's slide milled first.

I like Rugers, but the MAX 9 doesn't seem to be doing it for me. The Shield Plus I'm really liking though. But keep in mind the Shield was never really a pocket gun, whereas the P365 can play that role.

I was about to post about the new Ruger when I saw your post. I love that the 365 has spawned this trend. I carried the Ruger lc9 and then a lc9s for years and liked them. The 365 blew them away for me and I have not looked for a new carry gun since I got it. But I like the choices coming to market. It*s the free market in action.

Hoping they offer the 365X grip module. I might like the grip.

Some info on the new Shield. Maybe if the firearm market chills a bit Smith and Wesson will do another $200 fire sale on the original Shields to make room for the new line.

It's the same grip module as the P365XL. You can that in all the colors of the Earth-tone rainbow - https://sigsauerparts.com/p365/grip-modules/p365-xl/
