    Default Electronic hearing protection

Has anyone recently tried any of the newer electronic hearing protection devices?
Not being cheap but I’m not really ready to go for a custom 2500$ set,
But some of the new options from Tetra, Axil, and other brands seem affordable and I was wondering about their performance?
I would not like if they cut out the sounds of my calling to turkeys or waterfowl, but was looking to help my hearing and most importantly cut out muzzle blast.

I have a set of Etymotic GSP15 that I ought to use while hunting, but don't. I do use them all the time for shooting though. The 1X setting isn't quite 1X (feels a bit less to me), and the 5X setting is definitely louder - I tried once to walk around with them on, and the loudness of my own steps was really throwing me off.

A buddy of mine has these and likes them.

I use Peltor muffs since having big muffs on my ears doesn't bother me.

I got a set of these Walker Game ears with bluetooth. Havent shot with them yet but they seem decent so far.

Were recommended by an NRA certified instructor and competition shooter, who has a side business actually doing instructing.

Got mine new on amazon for $45

I'm not sure if you want an ear-bud type solution, but for inexpensive over-the-ear electronic earpro, I got this set for my wife:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BSB7YW4/ $30

But I used it myself for range training yesterday. At 20% on the external volume setting conversation sounded normal, and no issue muting the shot sounds.

    I hope that helps.

I use Peltor Sport Tactical 500 Smart Electronic Hearing Protector . The reasons are it has an NRR rating of 26LB which is the highest I've found on a electronic hearing protector and I found they are the most comfortable. They got soft ear cushions that conform around eye or shooting glasses to prevent sound leakage. They re about $100 on Amazon but in the past they were close to $300.00. Also they have blue tooth capabilities but I never used that feature. I'm satisfied with the pair I got.

I've been happy with my Howard Leigh electronic ear protection.
They're OD green and I can easily hook up comms in them too.
I think they were only $40.

I have been using Howard Leight IMPACT PRO ELECTRONIC EARMUFF for the last couple of years. They have a 30 db NR and are only about $70-80. I used to have Peltors but they died a few years back, my wife still uses Peltors.

Another vote for Howard Leight Impact Sport. They amplify the sounds around and still protect you when shooting.
