    Default Heritage Barkeep .22 revolver

They just came out this year. Curious if anyone has one and formed any thoughts on it. I just ordered one for plinking at the range.

I've looked at one at a shop and thought it was pretty cool. I'd imagine you're going to get typical heritage quality and for the life of me I can't figure out why they didn't stick the birdshead grip frame on them.

Probably figure this will sell a ton now, then do an upgraded version with things like an ejector rod.

I was going to buy one, but I don't like the fact you need a separate steel rod to unload the empty casings.
They do make a longer barrel version that holds 9 shots and a built in ejector rod that I might get.

That's my point, they already make one that would work with no extra engineering, why on earth wouldn't they just use it in the first place?

The entire point of this specific pistol is lost by buying one with a longer barrel and ejector.

Question, since I'm not exactly knowledgeable about revolvers.
How can you put a bird's head grip on one?

Do you need to replace the entire lower portion of the frame?

I can't find any good pictures. Something like this to accommodate the differently shaped grip?
