Suggestions for a Bolt Action.22
What I'm looking for is apparently hard to find.
I'm just trying to find a .22 rifle that is bolt action that does NOT take a magazine or tube and shoots 22 Short, long and long rifle.
Im looking for something under $200 dollars.
Seems like all I can find are cricket rifles or expensive bolt action 22's.
I'd like to hear your suggestions, thanks."One must be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves” ~ Machiavelli

Re: Suggestions for a Bolt Action.22
Savage makes (or made recently at least) a bolt action single shot .22 heavy barrel target model. Adult sized single shot .22's are basically non-existent new.

Re: Suggestions for a Bolt Action.22
Are you only looking for a single shot? AFAIK they are all kids starter rifles or match rifles for $$$. And you won't be happy for $200.

Re: Suggestions for a Bolt Action.22
^ as McSull said older Remington, or I'd add Winchester. I'm not so good on models, but I think Winchester 67 might be one. Think there might've been some other Rem. models like the 510, but i wouldn't swear to that. Neither will necessarily be cheap though.
Just curious, but why the need for single shot?

If the bore is good, these rifles are accurate. Optics mounting is an issue.

Actually try searching H&R rifles too....model 765, but know nothing of them. May be other models too. Generally older H&R stuff is good though

BRNO ZKM 468. Garden gun. Small but very handy. It's a BRNO so very well made. Accurate. From the 50s so optics mounting is an issue

Oldest used (and still has) a Stevens (sold under Sears)...have to check the number. Single shot. Load bullet, close action and pull firing pin back to lock, then shoot. Very accurate...but older. Have seen variants around here under and over $200. It fits teens and adults. Can check tomorrow for the number.
