Re: Owning/carrying a gun/ preparedness and the Covid vaccine
Something even dumber is, when you were jogging I assume you were concerned about the hammer bouncing and striking the primer. I doubt very much that the hammer would bounce enough to cause the cylinder to cycle to the next chamber, so the bouncing would actually cause the hammer to rise and fall on the chamber currently under it.

But the cylinder would not accidentally rotate. It could only rotate while being cocked...which requires a deliberate in control act.

They were great for doing that during the 14-year hell of the double nickel. But it was to save the earth, so....

Re: Owning/carrying a gun/ preparedness and the Covid vaccine
Correction:
As long as our emphasis is on logics, who here carries a revolver with the chamber, due for alignment at the next rotation, empty; and, the chamber under the hammer empty? That would make a 3-shot out of the ever-popular model 36 or 60. How's that for safety? There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: Owning/carrying a gun/ preparedness and the Covid vaccine
Sounds like an ill-fitting holster issue, not a revolver issue.
I recently picked up a Taurus G3c with a frame-mounted safety lever, and part of the deal was a kydex IWB holster. Turns out the holster didn't accommodate the safety when in the safe position, and movement of the gun could cause the safety to be switched off. I quickly remedied that issue with a propane torch and a little re-working of the safety groove of the holster.Power always thinks...that it is doing God's service when it is violating all his laws.
