That is a good point, which I neglected. Thanks for the reminder. My district seems to vote R based on the last few elections, so I'm hoping we can do our part this time around.

It’s basically 50/50 right now. I don’t see Oz being a full dem or voting with them all the time. I can see him being a Murkowski or a Collins. Worse case a Chaney. All still better than a Fetterman though Chaney is close.

Right now Sinema and Manchin are the Democrat versions of Murkowski and Collins. They are a big reason the fillibuster is still in place. If the Democrats pick up a a couple of senators to overcome their opposition, the fillibuster is toast. Fetterman is on record as saying he will get rid of the Filibuster. No republican including Oz will vote to remove the filibuster for the Democrats.

Sinema might have just shot herself in the foot.

Having the majority leader or the Speaker is MUCH more important than having a consistent majority of the voting members on your side

But Fetterman is a known advocate of blowing up the filibuster and pushing through nightmare versions of gun control. Pa is one of the key races in the U.S that could create the perfect storm for the democrats and their control of the government.

I’ve said it many times and will say it again, If democrats get better control of the Senate and maintain the house they will

    1. Eliminate the filibuster
    2. Pack the Supreme Court undoing Trumps greatest achievement.
    3. Reduce the federal area around Washington D.C and make the rest the 51st state
    4. Enact the most extreme forms of gun control that will make the past seem like a walk in the park
    5. Pass every nightmare bill that conservatives and libertarians can think of.

I think this race is about as important as can be and we need every voter we can get out to make any inconsistencies in voting inconsequential if possible. We need Oz to win. If he betrays us and the Constitution… we will have to worry about that when it happens, Fetterman is the immediate and clear threat. This is not the time to try to punish the Republican establishment for shitty choices.
Agreed, and NONE of this stuff gets to a floor vote if Republicans fill 51 seats, regardless of how Oz would vote

It can only be equally offset by a registered democrat refusing to vote for the democrat candidate.

A pissing match about verbiage and semantics is ridiculous and only clouds the issue.

If Republicans don*t vote for Oz, that significantly increases the chance Lurch becomes the 2nd democrat Senator representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

It has already been established that they are willing to cheat to win. Our only chance at combatting that, legally, is by voting for ALL (R) candidates and overwhelming their plans with sheer numbers
Finally! An intelligent post regarding not voting for Oz!

It really IS as simple as that.
No need to spout that nonsense about a non-vote being "a vote for the opposition" - it's simply not true.

Yep. Are you seeing that it doesn't say "it's a vote for Fetterman"?
