I think people are optimistic of this red wave.

I would say more than 51 if Oz wins.

It’s basically 50/50 right now. I don’t see Oz being a full dem or voting with them all the time. I can see him being a Murkowski or a Collins. Worse case a Chaney. All still better than a Fetterman though Chaney is close.

Right now Sinema and Manchin are the Democrat versions of Murkowski and Collins. They are a big reason the fillibuster is still in place. If the Democrats pick up a a couple of senators to overcome their opposition, the fillibuster is toast. Fetterman is on record as saying he will get rid of the Filibuster. No republican including Oz will vote to remove the filibuster for the Democrats.

This. I will not piss down someones back and tell them it’s raining trying to make Oz sound like the ideal candidate. He has written and said questionable things about the 2nd. I don’t trust him and a lot of concerns people have stated about him are valid concerns. He may well be a Liz Chaney in waiting. I am not blind to Oz nor do I expect others to be.

But Fetterman is a known advocate of blowing up the filibuster and pushing through nightmare versions of gun control. Pa is one of the key races in the U.S that could create the perfect storm for the democrats and their control of the government.

I’ve said it many times and will say it again, If democrats get better control of the Senate and maintain the house they will

1. Eliminate the filibuster
2. Pack the Supreme Court undoing Trumps greatest achievement.
3. Reduce the federal area around Washington D.C and make the rest the 51st state
4. Enact the most extreme forms of gun control that will make the past seem like a walk in the park
5. Pass every nightmare bill that conservatives and libertarians can think of.

I think this race is about as important as can be and we need every voter we can get out to make any inconsistencies in voting inconsequential if possible. We need Oz to win. If he betrays us and the Constitution… we will have to worry about that when it happens, Fetterman is the immediate and clear threat. This is not the time to try to punish the Republican establishment for shitty choices.

And the people on the other side of that argument intentionally refuse to acknowledge that a person with even very basic math comprehension would understand that in a state that is often considered to be a 50/50 split, any time a registered Republican refuses to vote for the Republican candidate, the democrat gains an advantage.

It can only be equally offset by a registered democrat refusing to vote for the democrat candidate.
