Glock ? Don’t know where this question belongs
I’m looking for any Glock aficionados. I have a generation 1 G17 from 1988 in excellent shape. With original box, mags and internals. Missing handbook and cleaning rod. I don’t have a thing for glocks and it is not sentimental in anyway. I’m looking for a value ball park. I can’t find anything on gun broker and Glock US will not value anything. I don’t want to join a Glock only site to find stuff out. Hoping someone here can offer some insight.

Then how about searching a Glock site?

Re: Glock ? Don’t know where this question belongs
The seventh hit down is one for sale that sold last month. $950. Has your pistol been upgraded and if it has been do you still have the original parts? That makes a big difference. The price for this G1 model is all over the place. If your pistol is in excellent condition with box and manual it can go for over $1000 if you are patient and find the right collector. If upgraded and in VG condition it doesn't have that much of a premium (if any) from all of the other used Glocks out there. $500-600 max

My first guess before seeing the other posts was 800-1000. Not a ton of mint gen 1s out there.

Re: Glock ? Don’t know where this question belongs
Thanks appreciate everyones time. Wish I had the manual. The gun itself doesn’t have any wear marks on the slide or barrel. Probably less than A couple hundred down the pipe.

Believe it or not Gen 1's are becoming collectable.
Sort of weird when stuff you bought new is now considered a antique or collectible.

Re: Glock ? Don’t know where this question belongs
What is weirder is just a manual or early tupperware box can go for $500+. And there is talk of an early 86 manual going for a grand. The value is that a relatively few deep pocket collectors want the complete original setup like it came from the factory. Some will even collect each year. So if you do the math the cost of the actual pistol doesn't carry much of a premium over any other used Glock. The box and the accessories could be worth more.
