Default More from the House HB 690, HB 698 & HB 699

Here's a really STUPID bill tying LTCF to Driver's License and revoking DL if LTCF expires or is revoked.

    Regular Session 2021-2022
    House Bill 690
Short Title: An Act amending Titles 18 (Crimes and Offenses) and 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, further providing for licenses; and, in licensing of drivers, further providing for issuance and content of driver's license and providing for revocation of license following acquisition, expiration or revocation of license to carry firearms.
    Prime Sponsor: Representative FITZGERALD
Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, Feb. 26, 2021 [House]
Memo: Concealed Carry Permit Information on Drivers Licenses and Photo Identification

Here's one requiring a 72 Hour waiting period for purchase of a semi-automatic rifle. It also redefines an assault rifle in this way: "Semiautomatic assault rifle." A semiautomatic rifle capable
of holding more than five rounds of ammunition in a fixed or detachable magazine. NOTE there is no exception for rimfire semi-autos, so your 10/22 could become an assault rifle!

    Regular Session 2021-2022
    House Bill 698
Short Title: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, further providing for definitions and for sale or transfer of firearms.
    Prime Sponsor: Representative FITZGERALD
Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, Feb. 26, 2021 [House]
Memo: Semi-Automatic Assault Rifle: 72 Hour Waiting Period

Here's an example of legislation that might be based on a lie.

    Regular Session 2021-2022
    House Bill 699
    Short Title:
An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, providing for safe storage of firearm when not in use.
    Prime Sponsor: Representative FITZGERALD
Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, Feb. 26, 2021 [House]
    Memo: Firearm Safe Storage Requirements

Itd be a shame if Fitz slipped on some ice down a flight of concrete steps.
