I thought you needed a high explosive manufacturing license from the ATF to get a hold of aluminum powder these days?

And I have another question...when using those reloaded primers...are they magnum or regular? What data do you use for reloading the ammo?

I would say standard primer. I load pretty low power stuff. I will run it through the chronograph and see what the velocity difference is between these and standard primers

Not yet. If not mistaken there is a 0ne lb limit, but I used to buy mine in 5lb lots.
You can also make it using a tumbler.

tumbling aluminum is simple, some other chemicals not so much.
like if i recall aluminum doesnt require special tumbling processes and materials to avoid explosion and static.
    because it is aluminum.

I couldn't find anything in the archives of the Delco Times or Delaware County News. There's a reason why companies that make explosives have special dedicated buildings with protections built in. Basement or garages of homes, eh not so much.

I can't answer your question to whether or not these reloaded primers would be magnum or not.... But you can load non-magnum pistols using magnum primers..I've done it with both 380 and 9mm....when using a mid-to lower range load with no issues.. but do your home work before doing so.. also if you have a lite hammer spring it may not work as the primer cups are a bit harder.....

I think it happened in philly, I remember talking to john about it years ago. Most fireworks are made wet,
except for salutes. Those you have to be careful with. And wear a mask when working with aluminum,
    supposedly it gives you oldtimers.
