I'm less opposed to an optic than I am to that comp. If you're going to use an optic on your carry gun, you should practice your draw under every scenario possible.

Up until recently, I was not a fan of optics for EDC. Most of the ones I've tried have been awkward and required a bit of effort and additional training to get the dot on target consistently. I've got a red dot on my Ruger MK III that I use for competition. If I haven't practiced with it for a while, and have shot other guns in between, I have to readjust my shooting style to compensate for the dot. Fine for competition, but not OK if I need to rely on it for my life in a SD situation.

The new Holosun 507C-X2 with the ACSS Vulcan reticle has me rethinking a red dot for EDC. Its circle around the dot or chevron is designed to give an indicator for where the dot is, so you're not hunting like you would with just a dot. When I get a P365XL, hopefully later this year, I think I'm going to get the 507C-X2-ACSS, as well. If it works out after putting it through its paces, I may add it to my carry rotation.

After that anti gun nonsense they pulled about two years ago I wouldn't buy anything made by Springfield Armory.

Mine is topped with a red dot and I carry with an OWB holster. I practice with the DOT as everyone should with their guns. I have no issue. If I carried IWB, that is a bit different on the draw with a dot on top. As was said earlier, that comp on this Hellcat?? Nope! It's a sub-compact carry gun. NOT a range or competition gun.

I carry a hellcat OSP with a Romeo zero sight. Love this weapon as it*s small and packs a large number of rounds. However, putting a compensator on it IMO is ridiculous.
