If that happened here in Philly Larry Krapper would have the killers sit down with the victim's family and discuss the matter.....Restorative Justice.

Police say two teens, ages 14 and 15, called for a Lyft ride on the 6600 block of North 7th Street, and when the driver arrived things quickly turned violent. According to police, the two attempted to take the 50-year-old driver's car.

One of the two teens pulled a gun and threatened the Lyft driver, but he had a license to carry and pulled out his own weapon, according to investigators.

Police say the driver shot the 14-year-old suspect in the leg. The 15-year-old stayed at the scene as police arrived. Investigators recovered the gun the teens used and it turned out to be a BB gun.

The Lyft driver was not injured during the incident.

FOX gets the headline right: "A Lyft driver who fell victim to an attempted carjacking shot the 14-year-old suspect, Philadelphia police say."

The NYT and its servants would say "armed gunman shoots poor black child who had a toy; KKK affiliation unknown".

Until the crime is addressed properly, stay home and keep your tourist dollars away.

While shootings are plaguing Philadelphia, carjackings have skyrocketed during the pandemic, hitting nearly every neighborhood in the city, at all times of the day. And, police say the risk is the same, regardless of whether a person lives in Philly or is just driving in.
Investigators believe this could be the work of a carjacking crew from West Philly who*ve struck almost a dozen times in the Northeast. Police say drivers need to be on guard and delivery drivers should be looking over their shoulders.

Wednesday was the second court appearance for the 13 and 15-year-old teenagers charged with using a Taser in the armed fatal carjacking of 66-year-old Mohammad Anwar of Springfield, Virginia.
The Washington Post, which sat-in on the virtual hearing for the two juveniles held on Wednesday, reports that the prosecutor had told the judge they were expecting to give attorneys plea bargain offers in the "next day or two."

With more than 150 carjackings already this year, drivers across the city are looking over their shoulders.

Stupidest thing I read today in that story:

*It*s a big concern. I mean, you can see the violence in the city is growing over the pandemic," stated David Macfarland.
