Re: Would this bother you guys? (Larue lower receiver)
Are they laser engraved? Kinda looks like a peri-etch process when the photoresist has broken down or has fisheyes in it
...not saying it is, but that's what it looks like
i photoengraver for a bout 17 years so it just looked familiarThe chair is against the wall... John has a long mustache...

My AR' are workhorses and after a couple years they look like they've been through battle, so that wouldn't bother me
However, I can completely understand that it would bother someone else."One must be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves” ~ Machiavelli

The ding or pit on the left inside of the letter C is the same on both letter C's. The ding on the right side of the upright of the letter T is the same on both letter T's. The ding on the right side of the triangle inside the letter A is the same on both letter A's. Almost like they are supposed to be there. If the grooves are milled, it would be impossible to duplicate the imperfection on each letter. if the logo is stamped in one shot (doubtful), then each letter would have to have the same imperfection. If the letters are stamped individually (also doubtful), then the letters would show the same imperfections.
Whatever way it's done, I wouldn't like it if images shown online do not show the same imperfections.Last edited by ROCK-IT3; February 19th, 2021 at 07:59 PM.

Re: Would this bother you guys? (Larue lower receiver)
They look like dwell points. When they start the cut they sat still while getting to depth giving you that blowout. They need to keep the laser moving. Nothing harmful but cosmetically unappealing. I would talk to them but all their inventory will be the same since it*s programmed and repeatable. If they get/had enough complaints maybe they have a *fixed* one they could figure a way to transfer too to.

Bitch and maybe they will refund some $$. I don't think it will hurt one little bit, in performance.

I took a look at a bunch of their logos on google images. I don*t see those pit marks on any of the lowers I looked at. I would call them. Seems like they are selling blemished lowers. Like you said, you didn*t spend your money to get sloppy looking product.
