I go in on 22Apr21 to sing/dance/beg and get my new LTCF. Gotta burn a vacation day to do it. Perhaps while I'm there , I'll ask to speak with our good Sheriff , who is an elected official (politician!) , and give him a piece of my mind!

Don't forget, no weapons - I'm sure you'd get a bunch of hemming and hawing if asking them to follow the law and let you use a locker.

My 7th or 8th renewal and umpteenth time going there. I know not to carry going into the courthouse. I don't have a need to start shit like some others here.

Your application for a License to Carry Permit has been approved contingent on the Pennsylvania Instant Check System (PICS).

NOTE: This is not a notice of final approval. Final approval is done 7 days before your scheduled appointment for the required PICS check by the PA State Police.

You will need to schedule an appointment to pick up your license. To schedule your appointment, please login to the Order Tracker - https://montgomerypa.permitium.com/order_tracker. To access the Order Tracker, you will need your order number (###), email address used during the application process , and the password you created during the application process.

Please bring with you either a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License, or PA Government Identification, with your current address as shown on your permit application. The permit will not be issued unless you have the proper identification. If applicable, you will need to bring your permenant residency card (if you are a non-US citizen) or naturalization certificate.

    For your appointment...

Make sure you have the Personal Protective Equipment required by the state, county and local government. Your temperature will be taken by courthouse staff. Masks are required. You will have to remove it temporarily for a photo. If this causes concern for you, you should wait until that requirement is no longer in place to come in.

ALL GUN PERMIT BUSINESS is done through the Jury Entrance on the Airy St. side (or north side) of the building. Do not bring unnecessary items with you because you will be going through security scanners. No weapons of any kind.

Dress for the weather because you may be waiting outside. There will be no place to sit so your wait time will be standing in line. Unless you are physically disabled, only the permit holder will be permitted in the office. Do not bring friends/family (including children) along with you.

Failure to appear for a scheduled appointment can be considered abandonment of the application process and may result in the withdraw your application and a refund part of your payment. You would have to reapply from the beginning of the process after withdraw.
    Pathetic...

This really is a three ring circus...and we are the dogs jumping through all the hoops for the benefit/amusement.

Well that was relatively painless. Found a parking spot right in front. In at 10:30 5 or 6 in front of me , out at 10:40.

I picked mine up today. Was able to park fairly close on Airy St. 6 or 7 people in front of me. It took about 15 minutes total. While waiting to into the office probably another 6 or 7 people showed up.

Actually it seemed like they did it very efficiently. They had copies of your renewal application and PICS approval all ready. Given the stories of lengthy PICS phone wait times from gun shops & shows.

I would think other law enforcement agencies , especially county sheriffs doing LTCFs , would have a direct on-line access vs doing over the phone like dealers. But that would make too much sense. PSP is very territorial , even with other LE agencies.
