Default buying online. what's the process?

I see a lot of great buys online which obviously require a licensed dealer to proceed with the transaction. What's the best way to make this happen? Are some licensed firearm dealers less inclined than others to work through the purchase? Do I need to talk to the FTF before making an online purchase?

Find a dealer near you. Have the person ship the firearm to the FFL dealer, the FFL guy charges for running you through PICS, you take the rifle home.

If you are buying from an online shop, you have to check with them first and make sure they have the info from the FFL. If they don't have it get their fax number, call the FFL and have the FFL fax a copy of their papers over to the seller.
