    Default Favorite Silencers, and Why???

Lots of Americans are buying cans now. Companies like Silencer Shop and their kiosk have made it easier for lots of shooters. I am interested in hearing about what your favorite silencer(s) is/are and why... please be specific. Thanks in advance...

    I only have 3

williams mfg .22lr (no longer around) its big but quiet and has a baffle strike problem.
Gemtech halo .556 great can for 16" barrels anything shorter and your ears will bleed.
Gemtech outback ll .22lr small can great for pistols/rifle but not for super fast ammo

What Ive read about cleaning, its not necessary as the pressure from the rounds will "self clean"
I still submerge in tranny fluid for months on end anyway.

    I own a
    Silencerco Specwar 5.56
    Yankee hill machine .30 cal
    AAC .22 rim fire
    DeadAir Wolf 9SD for 9mm

I dont hate any brand but if I were to buy again I'm partial to DeadAir now
and if there is one that I would not buy again it would be the rim fire just because I hate cleaning the damn things

The self clean thing is for centerfire rifles in my experience... not rimfire or pistol cans.

Why do you prefer Dead Air, what is it about them that you like?

I like multi cal cans. I have a Liberty Cosmic 45 and a Silencer Co Hybrid 46. I really like the Hybrid 46 because of the interchangeable end caps for various calibers.

I also have a Silencer Co Warlock 22 can and integrated John Ciener Ruger Mark 2.

I wish that I could tell you that I've done all of this research and this is why, but truth be told it's probably been 3 years since I was following and digging into the "What's what" of Silencers. I'm sure a lot has changed and it would also seem that everyone of my cans regardless of manufacturer has been discontinued.

As far as Deadair, it's entirely possible that I'm just a sucker for their marketing, without knowing what their price tags are compared to other alternatives. If I recall correctly a couple of things that enticed me were their QD attachment products, and in my my mind a solid reputation in the can community. I've often thought of adding a .45 can, and even if I didn't ultimately buy a DeadAir can, DeadAir is the first place I would look.

I love fat subgun/PCC cans, especially the coaxial design. Large volume, low tone, low back pressure.

Gemtech MK-9K, GSL Phoenix, or Curtis Tactical CT9KS are my favorites.

    Knight's Armament Mk23 Suppressor

It might be heavy, but it feels bomb proof, is still surprisingly effective for the size, and is an absolutely classic look.
