My father was an old-line Cop. At 6' 2" 200+ lbs. His favorite tools were his nightstick and his blackjack. I do not understand the modern police reliance on their sidearms when there are less lethal means available. If the departments are NOT providing officers with less lethal equipment that is on the Dept. not on the officer.
