    Default H&R or Uberti?

Eyeballed a couple 22lr revolvers today while at the shop. Ditching the heritage and want to upgrade.

Both brands seem to have a great following and get good reviews on quality. Handling wise they feel about the same.

The H&R was a break top 9 shot SA/DA with target sights (both front and rear adjustable, model 999) versus the Uberti 6 shot SA (they had two styles actually, cattleman 1873? And stallion Iirc).

Price was close, with the H&R being the most expensive option.

Which one would yinz recommend? Leaning towards the H&R honestly

    H&R 999.

They are quite accurate, and the top breaks is faster loading than a Colt SAA style revolver. You can even get speed loaders for the 999.

+1 on the H&R 999. Probably my favorite .22 pistol to shoot.

+2 on the H&R 999. Make sure the screws are tight on the rear sight with a touch of thread lock. I*ve bought 2 replacement sights over the years

The H&R 999 is a neat little piece. The SA .22 baby Peacemakers are neat at first, but nowadays I think they're more of a tease than anything when compared to centerfire SAA's and SAA clones.
