Giving them that info up front could give them the time to come up with a reason to deny.

For sure. This is what I was getting at - don't ask don't tell. If they happen to say something when you go to pick it up just say mind your own business in a polite way.

If denied, a huge discrimination lawsuit could ensue.

When is that? When he goes on a shooting spree like every sighted person does when they get their LTCF?

Nobody will know. Why would they?

When the application gets held up or denied by the sheriff and the appeal gets media attention. Like the articles on blind hunters.

I personally don't have a problem with the OP getting a LTCF. But the antigunners will and can use this to show how "ludicrous" Pa laws are.

Anti gunners will always look for ways to attack the 2nd. That*s a fact of life that we have to live with. But the natural right to self defense is not limited by eyesight and the 2nd makes no distinction either nor should it.

I seem to recall the very same question of blind people owning guns and obtaining LTCF; being asked to the gun lawyers at various seminars. Like U.S. Lawshield events.
And their answer was; being blind does not disqualify a person from owning guns or obtaining a PA LTCF.

When applying, be accompanied by a lawyer (and introduce him as such) who presents as proficient in videography.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

People sometimes forget that "legally blind" covers a spectrum of people, some of whom can actually see, just not as well as the rest of us. If the antis want to make this into a big deal, just remember to call them ignorant and point out the facts...

This is a friend of mine on youtube. He's from Eerie, legally blind, and regularly buys guns and has a LTCF. I'm positive he wouldn't mind you contacting him.

    Here's his email: gunsnbbq@gmail.com
