Re: Wolf howling about need to hike pa income taxes
Well the federal government keeps giving families money...... Wolf has to get his cut of that money some way. Can*t actually let people benefit from the money being taken from future generations..... he deserves it. (That is all sarcasm for anyone without a sarcasm detector)
Elections have consequences..... this is what the majority of Pa voted for including many who would be paying for the tax hike. Hopefully this will have an impact during the next governor election but I am losing faith that Pa will vote that way.
I would suggest everyone start contacting your legislators now and say no. Wolf can suggest a budget, but the Pa legislators do not have to give it to him.
Wolf helped create many problems over the last year, now he wants us to fix his incompetence. Tell your legislators enough is enough.

Re: Wolf howling about need to hike pa income taxes
Two takeaways to shut down an argument with the progressives who want you to live in the gutter:
1) PA already has the second highest cost per capita to run the state government, only behind California. There are plenty of cuts to be made in Harrisburg!
2) PA is near the top in student spending per capita. Is throwing more money at the problem going to solve it? Doubtful.
If the Dick Tater Wolf wants to make real change in our education system, make an honest effort at substantial property tax reform.Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.

Re: Wolf howling about need to hike pa income taxes
Well, not sure how much of the following is real, rumor, or wishful thinking by some people.
But...
Rumor has it that he knows how unpopular this proposal is going to be.
So it's his backdoor way of legal recreational weed.
Something like:
*"Well, an income tax hike is not going to be enough to raise the funds we need, and people are hurting financially at this time. So if we legalize weed and let it be controlled by the same bureaucracy as the LCB, we can raise the funds through that tax revenue. without the income tax hike"*
Again, probably just another rumor, but it's not unlike his way of thinking.
I'm just passing along a rumor here, don't hold me to it.
YMMV

Re: Wolf howling about need to hike pa income taxes
The amount of worthless government emoployees in Harrisburg and around our state is hard to explain.
Totally worthless government employees everywhere working on totally worthless regulations, of course he wants the people that work to pay more, he is a worthless fuck that knows nothing about how to run our state.
But the democrats would vote for ronald mcdonald if he ran for an office, so no surprise. Woof kind of reminds me of ronald mcdonald the clown.
