Default Changing up the gen 3 Glock 17.

I*ve had this gun for more years than I can recall. It*s always performed well but I have decided to assemble a second upper for it just to mix things up a bit. Perhaps a second lower is in the future but I*m fine to just swap them out for now. Slide is from K and M tactical, barrel from Salient Arms, sights are Ameriglow, and the other things should be self explanatory. The parts are generally Glock oem that I had on hand from various projects throughout the years. Thanks for looking and any suggestions or feedback appreciated.

The above setup is a Glock G17 gen 3, with an Alpha Wolf G17L threaded barrel, Recover Tactical brace with extra mag well and optic rail, a cheap RDS and an ETS 30 round magazine. Total cost ~$900. Go to sportsmansguide.com and/or recovertactical.com for the brace and accessories.

I was tracking a NIB Sig MPX K with a 4.5" barrel on gunbroker.com, and 19 bidders ran it up to $2800. With shipping, PA state tax and FFL fees, it comes in around $3029. I have right around $895 in this rig which includes the G17, brace, 6.5" threaded Alpha Wolf 17L barrel, riser and RDS. The best thing beside the price is that I know that it's as reliable as a Glock. Carry on.

So I finally took my rig out to sight it in and function check it. After getting it sighted in, I shot a 2.25" group at 21' and a 3.5" group at 45'. Not great for a really good shot but, I've never been a great shot, since I'm cross eye dominant. I really enjoyed shooting it and the stabilizer fits well, the recoil was negligible, the ergos were pretty good, even with a short L.O.P., and of course, it was as reliable as a Glock with 3 different mags and 2 different bullet weights.

    I think I'll keep it.
