    Default Lawyer for ltcf appeal

Just applied today but want bases covered in the event of a character clause denial. My question is how much would an attorney cost for this and is one even needed. It is Philadelphia.

Why are you questioning your own character?

    Jon Mirowitz.

Your statutory remedy is an appeal before the Court of Common Pleas, but you only have 30 days to file. Philly has their own internal appeal process, not supported by state law.

That might be a simpler resolution, but could also potentially run out your 30 day clock on filing the statutory appeal, so be ready to move very quickly if actually denied, and follow your attorney's advice on which process might be best for you.

In 2008, very minimal representation for a character revocation cost around 4 grand in Franklin county, PA. YMMV.

Maybe use PAFOA membership as a character witness/reference?

If your history is as stated, even Philly has nothing on you. Relax.

I've handled a lot of Philly denial/revocation appeals and only lost one before L&I, which was later resolved before the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Many of the appeals to L&I, I've been able to resolve without a hearing, which is cheaper for my client.
