Regular Session 2021-2022
House Bill 237
Short Title: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, providing for safe storage of a firearm when residing with a person not to possess a firearm.
Prime Sponsor: Representative WARREN
Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, Jan. 25, 2021 [House]
Memo: Safe Storage of Firearms
HB 235 is a continuation of the Democrat wet dream to have all firearms sales regulated through background checks. Of course the background check system as it exists today would be more effective if illegal attempts to purchase ended in arrest and prosecution, which seems rare at both Federal and state levels.
HB 237 Ambivalent at best.

What the assholes need to do is pass a resolution to enforce the existing laws to the full extent of the law.

Re: A three fer in the House
Not really. That's why PICS refers most denials for possible criminal prosecution, even though the laws are so confusing that most lawyers and sheriffs and DA's get it wrong.
The laws allow for prosecutorial discretion, which is abused in both directions. Laws that give the DA broad power to prosecute the innocent are justified with "well, the DA's will use common sense and not prosecute honest mistakes". And then you left a gun in the trunk of your car when you drove through NJ, and the common sense is absent.
At the other end, the junky girlfriends/baby mommas of violent felons buy the guns for their baby-daddys, and are seldom prosecuted, despite them being the core purpose of the strawman purchase laws.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com
