Default Winchester 52 with 82a rear sight question

I understand the elevation adjustment but the windage adjustment I need some advice please. Two knobs on either side, so what do I do with them? Thanks in advance.

The windage screws are used to lock the windage in place once you get it adjusted for wind conditions. For example if you need to move the shot placement to the right loosen up the screw on the right a few turns. Next turn the screw on the left to pivot the rear aperture to the right. Once the rear aperture has been moved retighten the screw on the right side to lock the aperture in place. Kind of a crude system but it works.

P.S. saw your link to Steel Valley rifle tream. I used to shoot for Penn Hills Rifle Team between 1989-93, back when they had a team. Still shoot smallbore here in south central PA, and actually coach the next generation.

    Thanks very much.

We probably competed against each other as I was on Steel Valley’s team from 89-93 as well.
