What is the hole size on a gas block usually?
Basically my question is: what is the margin of error of gas block alignment? I assume the hole in the block is bigger than the barrel gas port... How much bigger? How much movement can happen before gas flow is impeded?
Also what is the consensus on thread locker for gas block set screws?

Re: What is the hole size on a gas block usually?
May have found the answer... Most set-screw type low profile gas blocks are either 0.136" or 0.159" so there's a pretty generous margin of error with respect to gas port alignment.

I always heard the gas ports were 16/87ths.

Yep. 16/87ths. Be very careful that the block is exactly 420 degrees.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.
