Re: Stocking up on mags
I'm shocked they're still available. They were some of the first shortages during the Obama years.

Re: Stocking up on mags
That's the way it should be. If you've got 10's of thousands of rounds and hundreds of magazines, you pretty much have reached the asymptotic limit of what you could use come Armageddon. Even figuring in as an investment for those who are "unprepared", there is only so much room you can invest in the short term for inventorying your stash.
For some, that's 1 AR and 3 loaded magazines. For others, it's a gun room filled with 30 ARs and 50 crates of bulk ammo. I think most of us are somewhere in between (probably closer to the lesser... at least I am).

Re: Stocking up on mags
I have images in my mind of the warehouse from Raiders of the Lost Ark full of magazines that producers had filled up in 2016 expecting a Hillary win and ready to sell ..... that they couldn*t empty during the Trump administration. Now they can finally get rid of them.

Re: Stocking up on mags
I really think that most people that have been around for awhile are fully stocked from the last few panics.
I ain't biting on this shit anymore. nightcrawlers are still available. I'm going fishing.

Re: Stocking up on mags
There's clearly no mag shortage NOW.
Prices have gone up SLIGHTLY, but nothing compared to 2012 when PMAGS were going for $50+
Buy mags now for reasonable prices, or buy them in the future at as of yet to be determined prices.
IF you can buy them at all.
Hard to say what may happen.
Outright ban? Mags become worthless outside of the black market.
Ban new production and sales? Mags become valuable as no new mags can be sold.
Regardless of what "may" happen, if you don't have what you want - right now - and you drag your feet, you only have yourself to blame if conditions make it so that you can no longer buy, or can no longer afford to buy.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
