Bought a new gun recently?

I remember seeing nothing but. 40 S&W in 2013, but enough people bought 40-cal guns since then that they're out now too. 10mm seems to be more available now. Next time it'll be gone just like the 40.

The 1301 is an excellent shot gun, and I would absolutely LOVE to have the Langdon Tactical version one day.

I've heard nothing but good things with the latest gen. The 1st gen had some issues that required upgrades. I'm looking at the 1301 Tactical or the Comp so I can add the Kick Off system to it for the Mrs. It will be her shotgun first and if it works as well as advertised, I'm going to get another one for me.

I am in the midst of a transition in thinking, from wanting and having many guns in several calibers, to consolidating down to fewer calibers and fewer guns, and commonality of platform and manual of arms. I recently sold a Ruger Mini-14 because I have 2 AR's, and wanted to eliminate the different platform. I carry 9mm pistols, but have several pistols in other calibers just for range use. I am considering/debating in my mind selling off some calibers I only have one pistol chambered for, and even some pistols in 9mm that are redundant, or only used on the range. With the current political and social situation, I am feeling it is more important to be well supplied in a few calibers than to be spread out over several calibers and platforms merely for fun. YMMV.

I consolidated calibers too and it's worked out pretty well for me. Only having to keep a good supply of 9mm, 12 gauge, and 7.62x39 is way less expensive than adding 5.56 again, .45 ACP, .22LR so every other shot it can malfunction, .357 magnum, etc. I can HYPOTHETICALLY afford to shoot the guns I really like more, focus my training time on those platforms, and ultimately have more fun shooting if I'm not spending two days packing and unpacking. I used to shoot with a guy that only had two guns and I envy him sometimes. So much less time getting ready to go the range, cleaning, and unpacking.

I've noticed in a couple shotgun threads that posters suggest pump shotguns more reliable than autoloaders. I can't comment on newer models because I have none; but my Browning Auto 5 has 800-900 shells through it and it has never jammed. My Re mington 1100 from the 70s is just as reliable.

Not enough more reliable that the Marines didn’t dump semi in favor for semi auto, with performance being better for small men and almost all women...

I sort of understand - you expect a $2000 gun to be bullet proof, and when that doesn't happen, it's a big let down. When the most expensive (by far) AR I have had to go in for service I was super pissed because $500 ones never had to...
